Animal house of A.R. College of Pharmacy is a separate building in the institute premises. It has 6 rooms, 3 on either side with a corridor in-between. Separate rooms are provided for housing different species of animals, for Quarantine of animals, for carrying out experimental work and for storage of food pellets and corn cab as bedding material. It is well lighted and well ventilated and is also provided with an Air-conditioner, which is a mandatory requirement for housing animals. The animals are kept in poly-propylene cages which have arrangement for providing food and drinking water for the animals. The animals are taken care of by a well trained animal house keeper, under the guidance of Animal house in-charge. The animal house of ARCP is registered with CPCSEA(Committee for the Purpose of Supervision and Control of Experiments on Animals) since 2001(Reg. No. 365/Go/Re/S/01/CPCSEA). The registration is renewed until 9/2/22.
